Hazmat crews responded to an ammonia leak astatine a downtown Las Vegas nutrient processing installation connected Saturday night.
Las Vegas Fire Department spokesperson Tim Szymanski said the bureau was called retired to the Desert Gold Food Company, 123 W. Colorado Ave., astatine 9:50 p.m. successful effect to aggregate 911 calls reporting an ammonia odor successful the area.
When crews got into the gathering the odor was already gone, but Szymanski said an alarm was going off, indicating a leak. The agency’s hazmat squad located a tiny ammonia leak and called retired a refrigeration institution to repair it.
