A 73-year-old Las Vegas antheral was killed Thursday successful a motorcycle clang northbound of Hiko, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
About 7:15 a.m. Thursday, troopers were called to the country of a clang connected authorities Route 318 astir 2 miles northbound of Hiko, the Highway Patrol said.
Investigators judge that a antheral driving a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound connected the road crossed the halfway median “for reasons unknown,” and veered disconnected the roadway into the desert.
The motorcycle struck “various rocks and shrubs” and overturned, throwing the antheral from the bike.
The man, identified by the Highway Patrol arsenic 73-year-old William Allan Darby, of Las Vegas, died astatine the scene.
Darby’s decease marks the 61st fatal clang and 70th fatality investigated by the Highway Patrol’s confederate bid this year.
