Las Vegas police officer injured by hit-and-run driver

A Las Vegas constabulary serviceman was injured Tuesday day by a hit-and-run motorist successful the westbound valley.

The Metropolitan Police Department said the serviceman was being taken to University Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.

The operator of the reddish sedan that struck him was subsequently taken into custody, constabulary said.
