School Board leader tells of death threats after vaccine mandate vote

Clark County School Board President Linda Cavazos says she has received decease threats pursuing the board’s determination past week to determination guardant with mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for employees.

In a station connected Twitter, Cavazos said Tuesday that she has received messages saying she should beryllium hanged oregon shot, “along with precise disturbing images.”

Hundreds of radical attended the gathering and the committee heard much than 5 hours of nationalist comments — overwhelming opposed to a mandate — earlier voting.

The board decided successful a 5-1 vote to authorize Superintendent Jesus Jara to draught and instrumentality a mandatory vaccination policy, noting the process volition see negotiating with worker unions. Trustee Danielle Ford opposed the question and Trustee Katie Williams wasn’t contiguous for the vote.
